1. Design of Ribbon Blender:

The ribbon mixer has a U-shaped horizontal tank with a double spiral ribbon agitator. The ribbon agitator moves around the horizontal trough. The double agitator shaft is placed in the middle of the tank.. It has a set of outer and inner helical or spiral ribbons. That’s why it is also called a ‘’double helical ribbon agitator’’. There is a gap of approximately 3-6 mm between the outer edge and internal wall of the agitator. However, this gap varies depending upon the application of ribbon blenders.
